Rodman generally fishes directly in or close to the Cancun city limits in the Nichupte lagoon system. Tarpon and snook are the primary species, with the occasional shot at an early morning permit making a grand slam a possibility. During certain times of the year, a trip to the flats of Isla Blanca is warranted and typically productive. The Isla Blanca area is one of the Yucatans unknown permit grounds, and can easily yield 20+ shots a day at feeding permit when the conditions are right.
